The SEA DOG family has been living and fishing in the Keys since the 1950's. The first boat was the "Virgalona" which was most recently used by Mel Fisher (the treasure hunter) salvaging the "Atocha". The SEA DOG family has had commercial fishing vessels as well as charter boats. Now operating a busy charter fishing fleet, the SEA DOG usually has three boats out on the water each day... this keeps us abreast of what's happening, giving our captains a distinct advantage. OFFSHORE FISHING: Fish the deep blue waters of the gulfstream at depths ranging from 200-2,000 for tuna, dolphin, wahoo, sailfish, blue or white marlin, shark and more. Full day charters ensure ample time for a variety of fishing. Sailfish, tuna and wahoo season: October through March. Dolphin, dolphin & dolphin (aka dorado) run April through August. Marlin season: April through February. REEF AND WRECK FISHING: Snapper (yellowtail, mangrove & mutton); grouper (during season: May through December); mackeral (king, cero & spanish); shark, barracuda and more. TARPON FISHING: Live bait and light tackle. Fish under the famous Seven Mile Bridge. These are hard fighting fish with incredible leaps and acrobatics...so HOLD ON TIGHT!
